Call for Tutors – Facing Facts Hate Speech Online Course

The Facing Facts Network is looking for two experienced tutors to join our team for the upcoming Hate Speech Course Cohort, running from 28 October to 20 November 2025. This innovative online training supports civil society actors, public authorities, and other professionals in understanding and responding to hate speech.
The course consists of three modules over a 3-week period:
- Module 1: Understanding the concept of hate speech
- Module 2: Legal frameworks and international standards
- Module 3: Mapping learners’ contexts and exploring strategic responses
We are currently seeking tutors for Module 1 and Module 2.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for professionals with:
- Demonstrated expertise in hate speech, with a focus on either conceptual foundations (Module 1) or legal/international standards (Module 2)
- Experience in online learning facilitation or adult education, particularly using interactive and participatory methods
- Strong understanding of human rights, freedom of expression, and anti-discrimination frameworks
- Excellent communication and feedback skills in English

Commitment & Timeline
Total commitment: 5 days (spread over September–November)
Each tutor will be responsible for:
- Reviewing self-paced learning materials (all modules) and providing feedback (2days)
- Participating in planning, coordination, and debrief meetings, together with live tutorials for all the modules with the Facing Facts team and other tutors (1day)
- Designing and delivering a 1.5-hour live tutorial session, including small group activities (0.5 day)
- Reviewing and providing written feedback on up to 30 short learner mini-projects (approx. 500 words each) (1 day)
- Contributing to the course evaluation and offering recommendations for improvement (0.5 day)

Module 2 Timeline:

Module 3 Timeline:
- Live tutorial: 20 November

This is a paid position, and compensation will be determined based on the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
